leap of faith: an act of believing in or attempting something whose existence or outcome cannot be proved
Despite the fact that leap year only comes along every four years (2016, 2020), this month always makes me think of leaping forward. February is also the month that we are inundated with chocolate (more on that below!) and love. It sounds silly, but between remembering whether the groundhog saw his shadow, resisting all the chocolate that seems to be everywhere and keeping up with whether or not we have an extra day this month, February is like January for me. It's a great time to push the reset button and reflect on the past year.
February is also the month that followed the birth of our son with special needs many years ago. I remember that February like it was yesterday. I recall being unsure of what the future would hold. I was nervous. I wanted to figure everything out. I needed a new plan, but most of all, I needed hope. Thankfully, I was surrounded by a wonderful tribe of women who stepped in with support, encouragement, and that message of hope.
Fast forward to this month – I have returned to those feelings of renewed hope and the urge to take a leap of faith. As Rachel's Plan Bee continues to grow, evolve and leap forward (thanks to your feedback), we will be sharing more about where we are headed and how you can be part of that process!
Have you recently taken a leap of faith? Your stories matter to me. I would love to hear from you -- share your story here.
