Frequently Asked Questions
How should I store my products?
Store your products, covered in a dry, cool location. KEEP OUT of direct heat or sunlight. Melted or softened products sealed in their original container should be allowed to reach room temperature for several hours prior to use to restore to its solid state. The consistency and texture may be altered after this happens, but the product will still retain all its moisturizing benefits.
Do you test on animals?
No. Rachel's Plan Bee does not test any products or raw ingredients on animals.
I am on a gluten-free diet. What products are appropriate for my use?
All of Rachel's Plan Bee products are gluten-free.
What are tocopherols?
Tocopherols is another name for Vitamin E. Our products contain naturally sourced tocopherols. See our ingredients page for more information.
How long will my products stay fresh?
Rachel's Plan Bee products are made with natural ingredients. We purposely make our products in small batches and deliver them in small portions so that you can finish them while the ingredients are fresh. We recommend that our products be used within six months after purchase for best results. Keep water out of your jars and always use clean, dry fingers and hands to apply the product to keep it fresh and ready for use. Proper storage includes keeping them out of extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Any difference in texture, color or general appearance of one of our products is often associated with it being a natural product. We ask that you inspect your order upon receipt and contact us with any questions, comments or concerns regarding our products.
I noticed some white solid particles in my Bee Cream. Is that normal?
Yes, due to this being a natural product, occasionally there will be a difference in texture or consistency. What you see in the Bee Cream are the fatty acids from the shea butter (which are GREAT for your skin). Occasionally the fatty acids will solidify at different temperatures and you will get these cute little globules of stuff. This does not affect the quality of the product. Also, they will MELT immediately when you work the cream in and your skin will love it. For best results to help decrease the chance of fatty acids separating in your cream, avoid drastic changes in temperature when storing your products.
Are your products safe for pregnant women to use?
We recommend that if you are pregnant, you should always check with your healthcare professional before changing your skincare routine and starting the use of any new products.
Are your products hypoallergenic?
While we do not claim that our products are hypoallergenic, many customers who have allergy issues with other products, use our products with great success. Rachel's Plan Bee products contain natural ingredients including natural plant essential oils that like any other ingredient could potentially cause an allergic response. Please refer to our ingredients page and contact us if you have any further questions.
What about recycling?
Our product packaging can be recycled with your other plastic and glass containers in most community and city recycling programs. Our containers can also be easily recycled in your home environment for a different use. We strongly encourage you to upcycle, recycle or reuse all of our plastic and glass containers. The uses are endless!
