Rachel's Plan Bee Body Polish

Hello June

And just like that, it's June again!

Last June seems like such a long time ago. I was busy putting the finishing touches on the then secret jasmine body oil collaboration with Kim of kimberlyloc.com and finalizing organic ingredient sources that eventually replaced conventional ones in our product line. It was a busy month that was so worth it. And I can't believe that it's now a whole year later. Hello June!

In between periods of very heavy rain, the weather has been hot and humid in Central Texas. As we begin spending more time outdoors, our skin will beg for a little extra attention and our bodies will crave extra hydration.

A must have for June is our Body Polish.

June is the perfect time to begin an exfoliation ritual. I know that sounds like a fancy unnecessary routine to add to our hurried lives, but stick with me.

Here are the facts:
  • Older skin cells are replaced by newer ones about every 25 - 40 days.
  • How fast our skin cells slough off and are renewed is affected by health, age and environmental influences.
  • When skin cells are slow to slough off and build up, our favorite moisturizer is less effective because absorption can be blocked by a "barrier" of dead skin.
  • Gentle physical exfoliation can assist in removing our dry skin and help reveal the underlying "new" skin.
And this is why exfoliation never gets old. Have you ever tried a body scrub?

Our Body Polish offers the best of both worlds. Organic fine grain sugar mixed with nourishing oils and shea butter gives you both an exfoliant and moisturizer in one product. I think your skin will love it. Send me an email if you have any questions about our scrub or any of our products -- I would love to hear from you.
